Hung and Rolling Windows
Hung and rolling windows operate within the plane of the wall, minimizing interference with window coverings or passersby.
Hung windows are vertically operating windows in which the weight of the sash is offset by a hardware balance mounted within the window frame. On a double hung both the upper and lower sash operate, whereas, on a single hung, only the lower sash lifts up. Some hung windows offer hardware that permits the sash to be tilted inward for cleaning purposes.
Horizontal rolling “sliders” consist of one or more horizontal sash in a master frame with the option of combining fixed windows on a variety of configurations. Dual-slides offer window cleaning from the inside without removing the sash. The sash is also designed for easy removal from the inside.
