Recycled Paint
Liquid paints – such as PVDF Kynar®/Hylar® resin systems, and baked enamel coatings – may be produced using up to 100% post-industrial waste.
Depending upon the type of paint and the color, the paint applicator can blend excess/waste paint to create new paint. This option requires the finisher to have in-house blending capabilities.
Wausau’s finisher of choice, Linetec, offers in-house blending and works with customers to identify color options that can use surplus/excess paint. If a color is already selected, Linetec will advise on the possible recycled content range and, after painting, will provide documentation on the actual recycled content.
